Dinara did not play its match against the Greek team PAO today, even though both teams, along with the trio of referees, were on the field at one point.
We won’t go into detail about the bizarre reason for the match not being played, but we will say this much: our boys were ready for a battle and another three points.
But that’s alright, there will be plenty of opportunities—starting next week exactly at noon, at the same location, the St. Elijah church soccer field in Merrillville, against the Polish team Jagiellonia.
And today, since nothing came of the soccer, the time was used for great socializing and team building, over BBQ and beer. How else!

CROWD IN THE PENALTY BOX: Hungry soccer players put high pressure on the hardworking hosts
To make sure everything was perfect, the master chefs took care of the complete gastronomic experience: club sponsor Ilija Savic and Dragan Dobras, a board member and coach of the club’s veterans.

NOTHING WITHOUT THE KUM’S KITCHEN: Ilija Savic and Vasil Kolar, sponsor and president of FC Dinara

HARDWORKING HOSTS: Dragan Dobras coaches the veterans, but is also skilled at the grill
We invite all Serbs from Northwest Indiana, the parishes of St. Elijah and St. Sava in Merrillville, and the two St. George parishes in Schererville and East Chicago, as well as all lovers of good soccer, to come out next week and support the only Serbian club in this high-quality soccer league.

NEXT WEEK’S GATHERING PLACE: The match will be played on the St. Elijah Church field in Merrillville, Indiana
Let’s socialize, cheer, and fire up the grill, just like the Sundays of the past…
